GST invoices, straight from the sale
Record what you sold and who bought it, and the invoice is already made. No second app, no spreadsheet, no re-typing the same customer details you already have.

Invoicing is the job that gets postponed. Not because it is hard, but because it happens in a different place from the sale — a separate app, a template file, a number you have to remember to increment.
In GrowStart the invoice comes from the sale you already recorded, using the customer you already have.
What you get
Record what you sold and who bought it, and the invoice is already made. No second app, no spreadsheet, no re-typing the same customer details you already have.
Built from the sale
The customer, the items and the amount are already there. The invoice is a step, not a separate piece of data entry.
Tax handled
Set your rates once and they apply to every invoice, with the breakdown shown the way a GST invoice needs it.
Off until you want it
Taxation stays switched off until you enable it, so a business that does not need GST invoices never sees them.
Your customer details, reused
Billing details live on the customer record, so a repeat buyer is invoiced without re-entering anything.
Send it where they already are
The invoice can go to the customer over the channel they contacted you on, rather than an email they may never open.
Paid, partial and pending
Every invoice carries what was paid and what is still due, so the amount outstanding is a number you can see rather than one you work out.
How it works
Three steps, and the first one is the only setup.
Turn on taxation
Enter your GST details and the rates you charge. This is a one-time setup and stays off until you do it.
Record a sale
Pick the customer, add what they bought, and enter what they paid. Partial payments are supported.
Send the invoice
The invoice is generated with the correct numbering and tax breakdown, ready to send.
Questions
Do I have to use GST invoicing?
No. Taxation is off by default. If your business does not issue GST invoices, you can record sales without it and nothing changes.
Does it handle partial payments?
Yes. A sale records what was paid and what is still due, and the invoice reflects that rather than assuming everything was settled at once.
Where do my business details come from?
From your business profile, which you fill in once. They then appear on every invoice without being retyped.
Can I invoice a customer who came from WhatsApp?
Yes. Anyone who has messaged you is already a contact, so a sale and its invoice attach to the same customer record as the conversation.
